The Empire Snowmobiles

A range of Nitro Snowboards/Splitboards will be available for testing throughout the trip although if you intend to use our boards for the entire expedition please let us know so we have the right size available.

Yes this is an expedition but you don't have to suffer! These are amazing cabins located in the middle of wild, a great place to have coffee in the morning and a few beers to wind down in the evening!
Payment & Cancellations
25% payment must be made at the time of booking (25% are not refundable), 50% should be received one month before expedition and 100% of payment to be made by trip departure.
No refunds can be given within one month of the expedition start date.
SAR (Search and Rescue) Insurance must be paid at least 2 months prior to departure. (For Production teams)
Our Budget are draft documents and costs are estimates, subject to change and in part, negotiable. (For Production teams)
Further deposit may be requested if 3rd party external logistical support for the expedition is required. (For Production teams)
In case of Cancelation due to weather or conditions, refunds are not an option. If participants need to book an extra accommodation in Reykjavík due to this, The Empire will offer to pay for one additional night. The customer is then responsible for additional nights.
Missing of flight: If participants miss their flight due to weather/ condition etc. The Empire can not be hold responsible. We do recommend to our clients to have a time buffer on there flights due to unexpected events in the wilderness.
Regular Travel Insurance: As with any and all world travel, we strongly recommend that you buy a travel insurance policy in your home country that covers your cost should you have to cancel on short notice. This kind of travel insurance is not expensive and frequently covers other risks. In general, travel insurances are a good idea to have when you are on the move in the world.
Weather and conditions
All adventure trips and outdoor activities are weather and condition dependent.
We reserve the right to change your itinerary or cancel your trip with your safety in mind. The commitments we make towards making extreme expeditions, refunds due to weather and conditions are not accepted.
Our guides are specially trained to deal with changing conditions and their number one priority is to make decisions with your safety and project in mind. Please be aware of this and respect your guides authority to do so.
Heli-trip: If the helicopter can not be operated due to weather & condition. We will arrange another transport service. The difference in cost between these transport will be paid back.
Few words about “assumed risk” and outdoor activities:
Guests/Clients are advised that all activities are undertaken entirely at their own risk and they must behave in a fit and proper manner at all times in accordance with The Empire or their partner’s guidelines and must take proper responsibility for their own safety.
All adventure tours and outdoor activities carry inherent risks and The Empire or its partners do not assume any responsibility for accidents that are caused by its customers or can be traced to their own actions or are caused by factors outside of human control (Force majeure).
With the purchase of your trip you agree to these conditions, understand its implications and accept responsibility for your participation in your trip.
Alcohol and drugs:
We reserve the right to refuse participation to clients we believe are under the influence of alcohol or drugs, in such circumstances no refunds shall be given.
Our guides reserve the right to refuse participation to any customer whose conduct or manner is likely to cause offense, upset or put other passengers in danger.
In such cases full cancellation charges apply.
Appropriate footwear and suitable outdoor clothing must be worn.
We reserve the rights to refuse participation to customers who are dressed inappropriately with inappropriate footwear since this will put the clients well being at risk.
